So thankful for every week that I have in the mission. Elder Halls and I were travelling around everywhere in the zone this week solving problems, and interviewing a ton of investigators for baptism!
It was a ton of fun to get to do a division with Elder Gomes and Elder Riner this week. Elder Gomes is a fairly new missionary from Cape Verde and his accent is awesome!
In the zone we have a ton of ex-investigators that have already gone to church. We are not going to lose the work of the old missionaries that have passed through these areas. We are helping each of the missionaries chase after these people. The seed was planted by older missionaries a long time ago and now the field is white!
We are also helping the missionaries in the zone leave a strong commitment. Helping the investigators understand the consequences of every commitment they keep and not. Commitments are one of the main ways we help the investigators repent and move their lives to become for like Jesus Christ!
Today we were able to go down town and see some museums and some old churches! I felt as if I was walking down in Europe with these super old buildings and churches! We ate lunch at a Chinese restaurant. It was self service. So we all took advantage of that...
I hope we can all work to receive daily revelation of the things we need to do, learn, and get better.
Have an awesome week! Pray for missionary opportunities everyday. The Lord will provide.
Love you all,
Elder Hillam
